TV Moment Of The Week: How I Met Your Mother

9 season of legen…wait for it…dary has ended last night. For 9 years we have waited Ted Mosby to meet the mother of his children, while living in New York City and working as an architect. The narrative deals with his best friends, including the long-lasting couple Marshall Eriksen and Lily Aldrin; the eccentric, womanizer-playboy Barney Stinson and news anchor Robin Scherbatsky.

The series starts at the year 2030. Ted Mosby is relaying the story of how he met his wife to his daughter and son starting from the year 2005, when Marshall Eriksen & Lily Aldrin got engaged after nine years of dating each other. That day Ted believed that his life mate was going to be news reporter and aspiring news anchor Robin Scherbatsky, who, despite having had a romantic relationship with her after this time, ended up being who the kids know as their “Aunt” Robin.

Series creators Carter Bays and Craig Thomas have said they’ve known how they wanted to end the show from the very beginning, the final scene of the kids was filmed at the same time as those shots we’ve been seeing for nine years. And finally the kids asked their father the obvious question: “Mom’s barely in this story, dad.” “This is all about how you’re in love with Aunt Robin.”
